The evaluation layer for supply chain AI.
METRAI independently evaluates how AI-powered decision systems behave when supply chain reality diverges from the demo.
IT & Supply Chain
Technology changed. The buying process did not.
Supply chain teams now evaluate AI-led forecasting, allocation, replenishment, and inventory systems. Yet most buying processes still concentrate on feature checklists, polished demonstrations, and theoretical KPIs such as MAPE and bias.
Those measures matter. But when a system is expected to influence or automate decisions, the more important question is whether it behaves the way the business expects when conditions become messy, volatile, incomplete, or constrained.
METRAI exists to answer that question before a planning team makes a multi-year commitment.
We help teams in two situations: choosing a new planning system through a New Vendor Evaluation, or understanding whether a current system needs tuning or replacing through a Current System Diagnostic.
Our point of view
“Can you trust this system to make good decisions when the real world does not behave like the demo?”
METRAI is not a software vendor, implementation partner, or procurement advisor. We are an independent behavioral assessment layer that helps teams understand operational fit before they sign the contract.
What we do
Make AI behavior visible before it becomes expensive.
We take a relevant slice of your data and enrich it with scenarios that reflect your operating environment. Those scenarios remain consistent across the plan-to-buy-to-allocate-to-replenish chain, so a shortage appears where it would actually appear in the business—not merely as a dip in one column.
Grounded in your reality
Use relevant data, constraints, and planning context rather than a generic demo dataset.
Consistent scenarios
Apply the same business situations across each vendor under consideration.
Behavioral scorecard
Assess stability, responsiveness, decision quality, and operational risk.
Decision-ready output
Translate system recommendations into a clear comparison for the buying team.

About Dheeraj
Twenty years across the retail and CPG operating reality.
Dheeraj has spent 20 years across retail and CPG, learning the business from multiple sides: as an analyst, in account management, alongside DSD teams bringing plans to life, selling enterprise software, and managing a large customer base through the success and failure of real software engagements.
In recent years, his work has focused on customers using AI-led forecasting, allocation, and replenishment systems. Most recently, he has led enterprise retail accounts and customer value initiatives at ToolsGroup, a cloud-native AI planning company. His earlier experience includes leadership roles with Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay/PepsiCo, Precima (a Nielsen Global Connect company), and Antuit.AI (part of Zebra Technologies).
After living through repeated RFP, demo, proof-of-concept, implementation, renewal, and QBR cycles, one pattern became clear: the technology evolved faster than the way organizations evaluated it. METRAI grew from that observation and asks a practical question that feature lists and controlled proofs of concept often leave unanswered: how will this system behave when the real world does not cooperate?
Independent by design.
METRAI does not sell the system being evaluated. That separation matters. It lets the buying team compare behavior across vendors using a consistent set of operational scenarios and ask better questions before implementation begins.
